When AtlantaMINIS founder Barry Johnson got his new MINI in August 2002 he knew Atlanta needed a MINI car club, so on September 14th 2002 AtlantaMINIS was formed. The club started as a Yahoo Group. The first club meet was in the parking lot at a strip mall, and consisted of 6 MINIs. Since that time AtlantaMINIS has grown steadily with as many as 70 MINIS regularly attending club events. AtlantaMINIS has become of the largest and most successful MINI clubs in the country.
AtlantaMINIS is unique in that it is a free club.
There are no club dues and everyone is welcome to join. There are club events monthly which can range from a drive through the Georgia Mountains to a scavenger hunt, to just any excuse to get together and share our love for MINIs. Each December AtlantaMINIS also has their annual Toys for Tots toy drive, donating hundreds of toys over the past few years.
AtlantaMINIS is about diverse individuals who share a common bond - MINI. Our goal has always been to come together and have fun and enjoy each other's company.
We've discovered and developed friendships that make our club, the AtlantaMINIS, truly extra special.
